Mimbox customers

The Mimbox is available for businesses with laundry rooms or facilities. So far we have installed over 130 Mimboxes in 4 countries: Sweden, Norway, Denmark & the UK. Take a look at some live Mimbox installations and customer cases below:

Housing companies

Tenants are increasingly choosing landlords who prioritise the environmental impact of their living spaces. Whether that’s by creating inviting outdoor spaces, investing in alternative energy sources, or implementing water saving projects such as the Mimbox. Shared laundry rooms are sustainable and help build circular economies, and we want to raise their status even further through innovation and water-focused solutions.

A Mimbox connected to 2 washing machines in a Tyresöbostäder laundry room

Tyresö Bostäder is a municipal housing company in Sweden with 3,500 rental properties. They manage their properties with environmental considerations throughout their life cycle — from construction planning, to management and eventual demolition.

Currently they work with several biodiversity and sustainability projects, including geothermal energy and solar cells, food waste collection, water saving projects, outdoor gyms and activity arenas. Their focus on sustainability has also led to the implementation of 7 Mimboxes in their laundry rooms. See below some of their impressive results.

“The Mimbox is one of our water saving projects that we are happy to have running. After 6 months we already see a positive impact. Specifically the combination of saving water, energy, and capturing microplastics makes the Mimbox an easy choice for us.”

— Joachim Holmberg, operations and energy manager at Tyresö Bostäder

Facility management

Sustainability is big on the agenda for facility management companies. As a consequence, washing has become under the spotlight as it consumes large volumes of water and energy, whilst also releasing microplastics from cloths and mops used for cleaning. One of our main facility management customers is Coor, a leading provider of IFM and FM services in the Nordics, with whom did a special Mimbox installation at Det Kgl. Bibliotek, Denmark’s national library. Read more about our story with Coor below.

Customer case

It all started with a shocking conversation back in 2018 about how much water and microfiber cloths were being washed in Coor’s daily operations. This led to a strong partnership that has gone through many iterations of the Mimbox, and has now resulted in a framework agreement to implement Mimboxes across their Nordic sites.

Together with Coor, we at Mimbly were able to figure out how to tune the Mimbox and get instant feedback from the people who will be using it. Our collaboration goes in line with both Coor and Mimbly’s goal of being truly sustainable companies. By supplying Coor with Mimboxes, they are able to provide their customers with the latest innovation in sustainable laundry. To learn more about the technology and how it works, discover the Mimbox.

“For us, it has been important to involve both employees and key customers in the development phase, and Mimbly has been very responsive to our feedback. We are very proud of our collaboration with the team at Mimbly and our role in the development of the Mimbox.”

— Henriette Losman, service specialist in housekeeping at Coor in Sweden

More segments

As an add-on product, the Mimbox is available for many more companies who do laundry such as hotels, sports centres, and even cruise ships! It can be adapted and bring great value to any larger scale laundry room. For instance, we recently installed a Mimbox in Gothenburg with our first hotel, Hotel Lorensberg. The Mimbox was particularly interesting for them because as a hotel eco-labelled with the Green Key, part of the criteria is to reduce water consumption. Also, our sports facility customer Rocklunda has the goal to become climate positive by 2030 — something the Mimbox can help with its ability to reduce CO2 emissions. See more common benefits of the Mimbox below.

  • Keep your existing facilities

The Mimbox is an add-on product that gives existing machines a sustainable upgrade and increases their lifespan. This promotes circularity, whilst connecting them to new technology.

  • Meet sustainability goals

Our customers often have to report their emissions and sustainability efforts. Whether that is via ESG reporting, or meeting personal goals, it all counts towards creating the living of the future.

  • Cut costs

Water and energy prices are already rising in lots of places, and are expected to rise elsewhere due to shortages and macro influences. Swedish water prices are expected to double in the coming 20 years.

  • Plan ahead

Around the world, governments are increasingly enforcing legislations that affect washing. The topics include banning microplastic release, energy efficiency, and promoting innovation in this field.
